FAQ

What is it?

gograbmeTM is an exciting new mobile information service that makes accessing concise, relevant and useful information as easy as sending a text message

What can I do with it?

You can use gograbmeTM to get the information you need on the go using your mobile phone. The service is optimized to provide information that is specifically designed to be accessed in a mobile environment.

Is it the Internet?

Not exactly. The information available through gograbmeTM is a subset of the information available and not available on the Internet – the subset that is most useful and relevant in a mobile setting. gograbmeTM is designed to make it easy – and fast – for you to send and receive small amounts of information using your mobile phone. It is perhaps more useful to think of gograbmeTM as an extension of the Internet to text messaging.

I can already access the Internet on my mobile phone, so what’s the point?

Browsing the internet using a mobile browser is often a frustrating experience: mobile-phone screens are small, mobile data service is slow, and mobile data plans with many carriers are expensive. In contrast, gograbmeTM is custom-built for the natural medium of mobile phones: text messaging. In many instances, you can find the information you need far more quickly, easily, and reliably by using gograbmeTM than you can by using a mobile browser. Don't believe it? Then try it!

Does it work with all mobile phones?

Yes. gograbmeTM works using SMS text messaging, which is supported by virtually all mobile phones and is an extremely popular and rapidly-growing form of communication. You don't need a special "smart" phone, and you don't need to download and install a custom application program. (Of course, gograbmeTM also works beautifully on all smart phones.)

What carriers does it support?

gograbmeTM currently supports the following carriers: Alltel, AT&T, Boost, CellCom, Cellular South, Cricket, East Kentucky Network, Immix, Nextel, nTelos, Rural Cellular, Sprint, Suncom, T-Mobile, Unicel, US Cellular, Verizon, and Virgin Mobile.

How much does it cost?

All gograbmeTM services for consumers are offered free of charge, but message and data rates may apply – check with your mobile carrier for details.
